The Ice
Observatory
Surveys

The Ice Observatory Surveys
were written and printed for the Exeter Met Office in 2003. Written on open downland along the East side of Dartmoor, between Blackingstone Rock, the Teign Valley and Grimspound, they chart an observer's register of coldness, the formation of ice crystals and their subsequent thawing, mostly at nightfall and sunrise.
A triptych, the screenprinted poems are on permanent display at the Met Office.
